A lot of birth controls mimic post-ovulation hormones, increasing progesterone. This hormone makes it a liiiiitle tougher to reach arousal and slows everything down - progesterone makes us more sleepy (which is often why hormonal contraceptives sometimes make people gain weight). So whilst I was still horny a lot, I needed a bit more help in the foreplay area (much like after ovulation and before the start of my new cycle). What Iโm saying is: be patient with the women in your life that might feel these symptoms because birth control is wonderful for many people for making sex safe, and with a lil extra care and planning, theyโre likely just as up for frequent orgasms as you are!! But motivation is much lower to seek orgasms with increased progesterone.
