Please keep in mind that this is a prototype and is very much subject to be improved!
Hey all, I have a hopefully interesting demo to show you today about the side project I was talking about in earlier posts! There's no actual game play being shown but rather a prototype of a touch effect that will be one of the major features.
THE IDEA
It won't be a visual novel or anything like that. It will however use the same story but it won't build off of it. There won't be any kind of world to navigate around, I want it to remain as simple as it can while being extensive in transformations. The idea is for it to be a pure sandbox and, of course, integrating most of the fetishes from the main game. The difference is, is that this is simulated in real time, hopefully allowing you to mix the transformations together as you wish.
I'm sure you can identify the character used here. I don't intend on adding multiple characters as it is still just a testing phase, and she also does not have any real animation going on at the moment.
THE TECHNICALITIES
What I've got so far is built with Unreal Engine 5, the latest version I believe. The reason I chose this engine is because it's generally easy to transfer a Daz3D model over, for the most part. So far I haven't had that many issues using it, so that's a plus.
I luckily don't work alone on this project and I've got a couple others that have helped me so far, this specific effect being an example of that.
In terms of performance of the effect, you should not require anything more than the default for Unreal Engine games, though that may change once I work on the actual game play aspect. I plan on adding quality settings so you can tune the graphics down to fit your setup.
Also, don't mind the colored lines, they're purely for debugging purposes.
FINAL NOTE
I don't want to oversell the idea, this is the first time I'm working with Unreal Engine, let alone a real time game like this, but I'm very hopeful that I can pull of my idea!
I do not have an estimate on when it might be done, unfortunately. It's a side project and Project Realism still takes priority. It'll definitely take some time to get it to a stage I'm happy with. Just really wanted to showcase the proof of concept and see if you all like it or not. :)
Please do let me know what you think, would love to read over your thoughts! Feel absolutely free to ask me questions if anything is unclear, as well.
As always, much love to all of you, stay safe! ❤️
