Usually, we merge things as soon as we don't feel the need to keep them separate anymore. It can happen sooner or later, depending on the piece. But merging helps a paint-over to look more natural and lively, from our experience. It is more artsy and less technical that way)

2021-07-12 13:33:55 +0000 UTCHi there, cool work as usual. But there's something bugging me about the nearly last step when you merge and paint over everything. I mean did you keep the part (clothes, cake...) in different layer and render every part seperatedly then merge them all at the end?
