Added 2021-09-07 12:18:26 +0000 UTCI think the 'Fisted Fish' must be a corruption of the 'Festive Fish', but I've been trying out names in the form 'F-adjective Fish' and they all sound great. Fetid Fish, Foolish Fish, Floundering Fish, Flaming Fish, Flying Fish, Fried Fish, Frying Fish, Furious Fish, etc, etc.
Alternatively it might be that the name commemorates the time the tavern owner took on a monster incursion from the river with his bare hands. I'm sure that's what he tells people.
