I LOVE Kim Yoojung so much! She has to be my favorite actress of all time. I can't believe we're the same age, she's incredible. I would say that everyone's past, the people in our lives, the environment and the present help mold us into who we become. I can say that if I wasn't able to get out of my situation when I was younger, I could've very well turned out like Ahjin. Those first two minutes were very familiar to me. I'm still not healed from my past fully, but I'm working on it~ So I sort of can understand her. She wants to feel in control because she didn't in the past and her parents hurt her (and I'm guessing she didn't have the help that I could have), and she doesn't want to go through that again. Yoojung is doing amazing acting out the emotions of trauma peeking through and the need to feel powerful.

2025-11-26 01:51:46 +0000 UTCPeople like Ahjin are terrifying because you don’t know how truly evil they are until you’re like knee deep in all kinds of mess they created for you to be in. And then it’s like being in quick sand once you’ve figured out what was done. The moment i was told by Ahjin that me being nosy would have me killed first if it was a movie is the moment i would’ve left her alone. Girl did not heed to that giant alarm sounding off saying, “ATTENTION!: STAY AWAY!!!” 😂 Side note: i think Ahjin might be showing traits of being a genius as well. I read somewhere that sociopaths have a higher rate of being geniuses. Because even at as a child, it showed how she was able to do what most adults aren’t able to do. Which is manipulate those around her so subtly to do anything she wants. It’s like she’s able to know the outcome of her plans before even making them. And she had backup plans from A through Z once her plan was set in motion.

I don't know anyone with ASPD in real life, and I probably wouldn't like such a person in real life, but in this drama version, I am totally loving her. She is a psychopath who learned to be manipulative right from her formative years. But I am totally on Team Ah-jin—unlike many viewers whose comments I have seen online. I know there isn't going to be a happy ending for her, but I would have loved to see her winning by the end. I love villainous/anti-hero female leads—like Park Eun-bin in Hyper-knife, Kim Min-jung in The Devil Judge, Go Hyun-jung in Queen Mantis, etc. Even Seo Yea-ji's Ko Mun-young in It's Okay To Not Be Okay was not liked by many, but I liked her right from the start. This is probably the best performance by Kim Yoo-jung. I am pretty sure she is getting quite a few awards for this one.
