I think from a gameplay perspective, it's easier to balance if both are playable by each faction. However, I honestly enjoy the faction asymmetry. I think it makes more RPG-feeling, but that's just a personal preference. So, if it were up to me, I'd have it the way it currently is.

As someone that really only plays Orks/Necrons/Tyranids, I'd probably choose Orks or Necrons, but most likely Orks. It seems the most fun and interesting.

In your personal ideal classic+, would you make shamans available to alliance and paladins to horde, or maintain the faction asymmetry? I've heard good points for both sides.
