Whatta wild week.

Even though I'd gone through a breakup a little over a year ago, I'd forgotten the physicality of emotionally detaching from another person. Glad to say this one's been a thousand times easier. It's wild how much better it can be when both people choose to move through the ending with respect and maturity.

Things continue to be awful in the US for trans people and then suddenly everything became so much worse for folks in the UK with that new ruling. I know it doesn't immediately change anything, but the potential repercussions for what could happen down the road are terrifying. What a mess. Glad to have friends to talk it through with though.

And after 7 months out of work (and 2+ years of financial instability) I was finally able to nab a job!! I hadn't been publicly addressing it, but WHEW it'd been getting scary—the bottom's been close to falling out a few times now. I can't believe I made it through. I'm honestly shocked I was able to get anything at this point, with so many people out of work in this city right now, let alone something in the entertainment industry.

It's not necessarily the sort of work I'd like to be doing, but the financial stability of this gig will make it so much easier to focus on the next pivot and that's what matters! :^)
