Update 19/08/23: Been in hospital, Baby to follow.

TLDR: health took a nose dive, caught the flu, blood pressure went through the roof, kidney problems, diagonised pre-eclampsia and baby is four weeks early.

Hello everyone.

I have about 4 different drafts of this update, but everytime I go to post it something else happens. For those of you who are new here, I don't usually go this long without an update or post. A week at most with a tonn of apologies after, well, the powers that be must have heard me state that I would have more time to finish Transcripts before the baby was due and took it as a personal offense.

Literally the day after I posted about Lil Squigs going to kindy the poor thing caught the flu, combined with her autism meant she refused to rest or take any medication, so she and I were stuck home for the week quarantining, sleepless nights of coughing and sneezing and of course she passed it onto me.

Meanwhile, during one of the regular check ups during the final trimester, I had a stress meltdown and my blood pressure decided to go from 115/70 to 150/90, while having +1 protien/blood traces. 

The nurses almost didn't let me drive home. 

 They ordered me to the hospital for Blood pressure tests and every other test under the sun to ensure I wasn't heading into pre-eclamisa and prescribed me a rediculous amount of drugs to keep it down.

This isn't even the final amount of medication! they had me on 900mg of BP tablets a day and I was still hovering in the 130's, combined with now 2 more anti-bitoics and another slow release Blood Pressure tablet twice a day.

I was in hospital every day for check up's for a week before the department head oncologist saw all of my stats and decided to keep me in for 24 hours observation.

That was on wedensday. 

I am now on day 3 of my stay with a pre-eclampsia diagnosis and my waters broke. The baby isn't due until mid September and is nearly 4 weeks early. Everyone is hoping the baby will stay put until Thursday, but at this point we'd all be very surprised if I lasted the weekend. its all a waiting game at this point. (All the hospital staff have been so lovely about it too, they've wrapped me in cotton wool for the most part!)

I've been trying to get bits of chapter 21 drafted while I feel up to it and so I don't go stir crazy while stuck in hospital, I can't promise anything will be done until after the baby is here, my family is settled into a new routine and my health improves.

I cannot express how grateful I am for all your patience, I knew there would be obstacles finishing off this last book but, damn, not like this! 

I'll keep you all in the loop where I can and post when I can, thank you all again and here's to finishing Transcripts before I can jinx it again :D
