As Severson is busy with the scene art and sprites I started messing around with the upcoming minigame's mechanics. It would be a stomping scene where Octavia goes after the player and try to flatten him and other elves from the group.
The concept is to make a glass-floor version of the classic stomping game of Shrink 'High. I wanted to make both soles visible with her body, and we can also see Octavia's face looking at her victims.
As the result of the former poll, the elves will face a chunky goth boot as their fate.
It turned out that the simulation for the bipedal movement is harder than I thought, My naive approaches resulted in dull movements, right at the bottom of the Uncanny Valley, so I moved forward to a more sophisticated one. For now, the rig moves towards the player, but he ends up inbetween her feet, instead of being stepped on.
