SYNTRX II Review + EXCLUSIVE extended video/audio download

Hi there!

The 70s were known for their analog three-oscillator mono synths, but none would invite you to get as wild and experimental as much as the EMS Synthi.

SYNTRX II from Erica Synths builds on that legacy and kicks it up quite a few notches compared to their original SYNTRX from two years ago - more details in the video.

I've attached to this video an exclusive video download with extended and "no talking" versions of the sounds in the video, as well as others not included in the video at all.

Enjoy!

All my best,

Thanks and enjoy! No, I've not reviewed the Polivoks

Great video on the SYNTRX II. I decided I couldn't wait and bought the original one (B-Stock) for $1840 (US). It was a steal at that price (directly from Eric Synths.) I love all their stuff. BTW: Your video is what really convinced me to buy it. Have you done a review on Erica Synths Black Polivoks?

Hey Todd, I'm not sure which are the critical ones because it's about your perspective. When you asked the first things that came to mind are the sequencer, the new input processors and the motion recording for the effects/joystick/gate, but of course everything is in the video. You can overcome some of these in the OG Syntrx with external sequencing, MIDI CCs to the joystick and external effects, and you get to keep the speakers and spring reverb! Of course a lot of the fun is to have everything in one place.

I've got an original Syntrx... what are critical points to decide on swapping one for the other? I think I enjoy the chaotic movement of the 2 over the original. And... what you were able to achieve with the 2 seems like a more complete patch from a eurorack system whereas one seemed more confined to being a synth oddity (I love it, don't get me wrong). Thanks!
