The very surprising MPK Mini Plus (and outro download)

With the MPK Mini Plus, Akai is going for KeyStep's 37 mini-key jugular, and unlike a certain cloning (allegedly) company, they actually bring quite a lot of new substance to the table, including MPC Pads, more encoders, a two-track sequencer with another track for arp/keyboard instrument control, and more... and at a lower price! The keys aren't quite as good and there's no aftertouch, but that's a lot of value beyond that.

Thanks - software on my computer called MIDI Visualizer show the notes and then I overlay them on the video in an angle to make it look like they're shooting out of the synth :)

2022-10-20 19:46:03 +0000 UTCI finally bought a Keystep 37 and couldn't be happier... Wish I'd pick one up months ago. This looks interesting, and I'm glad I picked up the Keystep when I did, as I might've been tempted.
