Roland JUNO-X review and comparison to other ZEN-Core synths + download

Hi there!

Almost three years ago I reviewed Roland's Jupiter Xm. When I started taking a look at JUNO-X I thought it would be an easy one, since it's based on the same platform, just in a JUNO-106 like enclosure. That's partially true, with a few minor differences, the thing is, Roland has added so much for the platform, that I couldn't just review the difference and refer you to watch my Xm review.

So... here's another long one - a full and detailed look at JUNO-X, which I believe owners of a Jupiter X/Xm (or potential buyers) will also find very interesting.

I've also attached a download of the jams at the end of the video.

As always thanks for your support!

All my best,

Ziv (really trying to avoid making long videos but sometimes there's no other way to review synths on a channel called "Loopop"...)

Comments

As long as you're controlling the same (or similar) synth parameters that have physical controls (eg. filter cutoff, resonance, envelopes, etc) then it's ok. But there are many more parameters in the menus, so you'll either need to get used to doing that or use the JUNO-X Editor (which is what I'd do to learn the synth). Thanks for your ongoing support BTW :)

Is the user interface awkward to use with non Juno 106 patches?
