March 2022 Book update! +VCV Patch download [MAR2022]

Hi!

Here's the latest book update with many of the insights from this months' videos, and one extra Patreon only exclusive: This month my son asked me for a bit of sound design for a science project, in which he needed a simulate an environment where the harder you blow at wind chimes, the louder and more frequently they play, I immediately thought of a video I saw once about the memory effect feature of the rare Natural Gate module by Rabid Elephant.

I don’t own this module and have never used it, so in no way does the patch attempt to "clone" it, but rather is inspired by how this module simulates the natural tendency of humans to play louder as they play faster, say, when hitting drums (VCV patch attached).

A discussion of the patch is in the book, along with:

Multiple updates to the multi sampling chapter
A new tip for cleaning synths/instruments from sticky gunk
An update to a tip regarding the use of balanced cables
and the usual updated references to new tip clips, video downloads and the new Korg 700FS multisample instruments for Maschine

That's it for now! There's an exciting month coming up starting with a review of Non-Linear Labs' C15 (hopefully tomorrow) and plenty more things I can't quite talk about just yet in a few weeks...
