Additive Synthesis Magical Mystery Tour (including resynthesis...)

About a month ago a Patron asked me to add a description of how Tonewheel organs work to my book (spoiler: electromechanical additive synths...). Then a couple of weeks ago Arturia asked if I'd like to take a peek at a beta of Pigments 3, which has a new Additive synthesis engine. Those two were enough of a sign from the universe that it's time to take a deep dive into Additive Synthesis...
The result is this video, and a new chapter with even more information that will be added to the next book update. In both I cover Additive Synthesis and Resynthesis, across multiple synths, including Alchemy, Loom II, Pigments 3, Polyphylla and Razor.
I learned a lot - hopefully you will too!

2021-05-08 06:35:03 +0000 UTCHave you ever played around with the Kawai K5000 or K5? I Actually won a K5 in a raffle, but then it died a few years later. But I liked it so much a bought the K5000. Great additive synth!
