Hi!
Last week's video was all about a MIDI-based generative instrument; this week's star is REmindER from Enjoy Electronics - an instrument with the same goal in mind, only it uses delay lines and applies them to audio rather than MIDI.
All too often delay effects put time and feedback as the primary means of expression - REmindER focuses on the different rhythms possible by giving you access to tempo-synced, dotted, triplet and offset delays as direct hands-on controls.
I believe watching this will cause you to look at delays differently, making it certainly has done that for me - and you'll probably be able to implement many of the ideas in this product in your DAW's delay.
Beyond stereo rhythmic shenanigans, REmindER also has two interesting quadraphonic modes, which obviously I explain and show in the video.
Attached is a download of the intro/outro jam from the video for those interested.
All my best,
Ziv (spreading the quadraphonic word in all four directions on YouTube as "Loopop"...)
