Neuzeit QUASAR binaural panner review + exclusive full outro download

Hi there!

Spatial audio is somewhat of an obsession, so when I heard Quasar at Superbooth, I was quite eager to explore it in-depth.

The module is fairly simple and easy to use, so it's all about whether the effect works, and of course, whether the price is worth it - as usual - boutique modules aren't cheap.

Without further ado, you're welcome to watch the review, including a few binaural tips and tricks, and the full 4+ minute outro track is available for download here if you'd like to experience these floating sounds in full (headphone required!)

All my best,

Ziv (taking binaural tech for a spin on a youtube channel called "Loopop"...)

I don't know about the gibson spatializer but there's an excellent demo of the Buchla one in my interview with Suzanne Ciani :)

In the late 1970s (I’m old), the Gibson rep played some backing tracks that were recorded with a “Spatializer”. The result was presented through two speakers. I could walk around and through performing musicians; stand next to the drummer, etc. The rep said it was “just math; a patented algorithm. I later stumbled onto a little box that installed in line with my PC speakers, adding similar results. Unfortunately, my Spatializer “let the smoke out” when I accidentally used a “center +” wall wart with it. ☹️ Does anyone know where I can get another? Also, I’d like to see a demo of the Buchla 200 series quad module, with swirl. Correcting my vagueness (hopefully) - the “Gibson rep” had some good backing tracks but, the Spatializer was not a Gibson product. I was a fan of Suzanne Ciani from the time (@1974) I listened to her work on a little vinyl record, bound into Contemporary Keyboard magazine. Seeing her vitality on Loopop and the Red Bull Concert + interview has been very inspiring. Your time with Suzanne and discussion of her touring Buchla 200 was great, but I’m hoping for a “Loopop Review” of the 227e System Interface module, when Tip-Top gets around to a Eurorack version.

Sure - it's a DIY case from Uncertain Proportions

Hey! Can you tell me more about the small wooden box from the thumbnail? It would be perfect for my dawless, non-modular setup.
