ARP - 2600M - Exclusive walkthru and 8 multisamples

Hi there!

UPDATE: I've added to this post two Patreon exclusive downloads:

... and on to Friday's news, which you've probably already seen:

Korg's reissue of the ARP 2600 landed in the studio a few weeks ago and it's now OK to talk about it - the 2600M is a "mini-me" version of the full-size classic with a few added perks.

Rather than focus on the basics, in this video, I jump right in and cover 26 patch ideas to help make the most of it. I also unbox its unique travel bundle combo.

Obviously, many of these patch ideas are applicable to the original if you're lucky enough to have one, as well as any other software or hardware clone/reproduction etc, not to mention synthesis in general... most of these are already in my book, and the ones that aren't will be added as per usual.

That's it!

All my best,

Ziv (counting the ways synths can be patched on youtube as "Loopop"...)

Great!

Thanks, that's what I needed to confirm. I'll be playing with this patch later.

Hi Floyd, I'm happy to explain my patch but I think you got it right, you need a third CV source for a third note on the ARP2600, but beyond that I don't really offer a service where I help with individual patches or setups.

Let me clarify, in the video you use the SQ64 CV Output as a third voice (or note) added to the duo phonic voices (notes) played by the Micro Key. Here is my setup... Behringer Blue Marvin using a KeyStep 32. I also have Behringer Model D and Pro 1 (also K2 and Neutron). My question is can I use the Osc CV Out on either the Model D or Pro 1 in the same way you used the SQ64. If so, exactly what patch do I need to make from either of those 2 into the OSC 3 KeyBd CV patch point on the ARP 2600? (I know that I can use the Sequencer or Arpeggiator on my Keystep for those functions). I just want to recreate your 3 voice patch with my setup. Does this make sense. Thanks again for all of you great video, tips and tutorials. I'm an old school synths guy from the 70's. Owned the Original Arp 2600 and Mini Moog as well as other classic machines. (I actually got to meet Bob Moog on several occasions as well as working with Tom Oberheim) Recently I decided to set up a small home studio Workstation with several Semi Modualr Synths and you have been a big part of my research on some of the better gear on the market. It's a lot of relearning so much of what I know all those years ago and I'm having a blast.

Thanks! I think you mean as a sequencer instead of the SQ64? And the answer is yes! Also as a voice BTW but that's a different story

This is a great video on the patch. I need to try it. Question can I use one of my Modular synths as the third voice into the 2600 as I do not own a SQ64? I will be trying this on my Behringer Blue Marvin 2600.
