Book Update! October 2021 [OCT 2021]

Dear Waveshapers!

This has been quite a month - much most of which was consumed by the overwhelming response to the Superbooth Mega Contest. While I miss digging into flashy music tech (and looking forward to getting back to that tomorrow!), this contest has certainly been a highlight for me, so if you participated or listened to the many excellent tracks - it's much appreciated!

It's not just the quantity of tracks, but also their quality - so many people didn't just finish a track, they put their best foot forward to make something they'd be proud of.

As I listened to the tracks I jotted down notes on what seemed to inspire artists to finish a track - I'll be publishing a summary video soon, but as usual, any thoughts and ideas in my videos also go into the book - and mainly in this month's new aptly named chapter "596 ways to start and finish a song"... don't worry, it's not long, just the essence but what got people going as reflected in their music, walkthroughs, and comments.

Aside from that, I've added a reference to Apple’s new support for Atmos in Logic Pro in the "spatial" chapter - I'll be looking at that more in-depth in a few weeks with a nice twist assuming the stars align... more on that later.

Other minor updates, the SP-404 MK2 was added to the instrument-specific tips and tricks section, as well as the new music and sample downloads.

That's it!

By the way, if there are topics you'd like me to explore or expand upon in future book updates - please let me know either in a personal message or in the comment section below!

Thanks and all my best,

Ziv / Loopop

Thanks! Added to the next update and gave you credit in the "thanks" section :)

Hi, the time stamp 48:15 on page 74 isn't correct, it should be 49:17 I guess.

Thanks very much! I make long videos to give you as much information as possible because I don't think anyone can answer that question but you. Personally, I think that if you have Hydra you don't need an Argon

oh, thanks for reply. like many other i have "GAS" and love Hardware, my limit is the space in my small studio. Some years ago I've went for Synth Expander. And I love them all. So viewing your reviews and thinking about does it been worth to sell one one my loved synth to buy this new one is my "high level" problem. As you mentioned, i have an hydra, do i need an Argon? Or: for what an new Synth would i sell my Peak? At the moment, i do not know ... i am glad, that i do not have other problems ;-)) btw i like what you're doing and how you're doing this !
