Korg Modwave Review - not just a wavetable synth...

Hi!

Modwave from Korg is a very capable synth. It says "wavetable synth" on the box,  but with FM, sample playback (with a 2 gig sample library, no user samples, though you can load up your own wavetables), filters and effects, it's hardly limited to just that.

The motion sequencer and kaoss physics make it even more interesting - the motion sequencer can pretty much do everything WaveState can except flip samples, and while the kaoss pad may seem like a simple XY controller, the physics aspect of it turns it into a truly organic modulation source.

With Opsix and Wavestate in the same form factor, Korg has now created a very interesting trilogy - Opsix is still king of FM and Wavestate has exclusive rights to wave-sequencing, but Modwave seems to be the best all-rounder.

Warning! This video is probably my longest ever, mainly because the last half hour is just me playing 70 presets...

All my best,

Ziv (exploring synth trilogies on youtube as "Loopop"...)

EDIT: Per request, attached is my "Throw that ball" preset

OK - found it, and attached it to this post!

Hi loopop, any luck finding that patch?
