Hi!
Here it is, the new and improved, and yet still In-Complete Book of Electronic Music Ideas Tips and Tricks - October 2019 edition!
Aside from the new stuff, dozens of typos have been hunted down and taken out, thanks to Patron Yvonne Dickerson, who was kind enough to review the whole thing with a truly fine tooth comb. I added an acknowledgement section to the intro to the book – thanking Yvonne as well as Max0, Stefan Wolfrum and Jason Gillman Jr. who have also assisted in weeding out typos.
If you find anything please don't hesitate to leave a comment, send me a direct message here or email ziv@loopopmusic.com, and if you don't object I'll add your name to the thank you section as well!
Aside from that I've added a new "feature" to the book - new updates have a little "<NEW" string at the paragraph header. This way you can load up your favorite PDF reader and just search for the string "<NEW" to jump from update to update if you so desire. Assuming < isn't an illegal character... otherwise just search for "new" and you'll find the new stuff pretty quickly.
Here are the updates the old fashioned way:
New section added: Insert vs. Send effects and when to use them [Page 33]
New tips added:
Note-Off Velocity for more expressive control [Page 51]
"Search for Sostenuto" in polysynths [Page 52]
Use Chord Mode to add oscillators to your polysynth [Page 52]
Use the Mod Wheel (or other sources) as a Macro Controller [Page 53]
Hidden gems in the Mod-Matrix, Settings and Shift functions [Page 53]
Audio effect feedback loops [61]
Using A Multi-stage LFO as a Sequencer [Page 64]
References to DeepMind tips and tricks tutorial and new video downloads [179 and 191]
As per usual thanks for your continued support!
All my best,
Ziv (updating the Loopop book with a little help from friends....)
Stefan Wolfrum
