August Book Update

Hello Waveshapers!

Here it is - short and sweet - the August book update:

Well, the update about the updates is short, but the chapter itself is a bit longer...

If all goes well the coming week is going to be kind of busy with reviews. Stay tuned...

As always, I really appreciate you being a part of this journey - it's your support that makes this kind of content possible and will make more of it possible in the future. These generative videos are weeks in the making in terms of thought process so there's more to come but it does take a while...

All my best,

Ziv (not really keeping it short and sweet on youtube as "Loopop"...)

Comments

Thanks so much for the feedback! I have that video on my todo list... I updated the book, and unfortunately cut Imogen out, so now I have to look for a reason to bring her back. I'll take a look at the K-Board for next month's update so thanks for that as well.

Hi. A couple of comments on your August book revision: in the MPE section, the K-Board Pro from Keith McMillan Instruments deserves a mention. It has a flat surface that doesn't slow your fingertips, like Rolli instruments (although I like playing those too). Second, in the vocoder section you refer to Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek" as an example. In an interview with Sonicstate's Nick Batt last week she says she used a Digitech vocal harmonizer to record that. My experience with vocoders suggests that the only melody they produce comes from the synth input, which is imprinted on the vocal input. In Imogen's song her singing comes through along with the harmonizer elements. I may just be illustrating my own ignorance of the potential of vocoders(?).

Hi Emi, thanks for your support! Sorry, I don't have a kindle :/

any trick to convert as Kindle paperwhite format? Conversion with caliber is illegible:(
