Good Sunday!
I've had a pre-release version of Behringer's Crave on loan this week and here's my full review.
Even though it has an original look and name, once I dug in I found it's "heavily inspired" by Moog's Mother-32 from a workflow, patch bay and sequencing perspective, though Crave is desktop only and cannot be mounted in a Eurorack case.
To their credit, Behringer have added a few new and interesting features, organized the layout quite nicely, and at $200, Crave is quite a compelling instrument.
Still, as I was making this video I could not avoid a strong feeling of deja vu in relation to my good old Mother-32 review... so unavoidably, there are similarities in the review as well, though I tried to keep it fresh and not repeat myself in the patch ideas section...
I try to make all my reviews as beginner friendly as possible, so if you're not experienced with patching, there are quite a few patch ideas at the end of the video including feedback, FM and paraphonic "tricks", so hopefully you'll find value in this video from that perspective as well.
All my best,
Ziv (cloning old reviews on youtube as "Loopop")
