Neutron 2.0: what's new, pros, cons and 13 patch ideas/tips

Hello!

Last week I borrowed a Behringer Neutron from a friend, not expecting to make a video – I just wanted to hear for myself what the 3340 oscillators sound like, and yeah, they’re quite nice...

Then I took a look at the new features in 2.0 and saw no one really explored them, despite the fact that they’re quite substantial, especially for someone like me who takes an interest in paraphonic synths and morphing waveforms...

Neutron’s paraphonic options where enhanced substantially, the flexibility of its LFO vastly improved, and the control software is quite comprehensive.

I also weaved 13 patch ideas and tips into the video – these will, as per usual, be included and expanded upon in the next book update.

A lot has been said about Behringer’s cloning of other people’s ideas – this 2.0 update shows they can lead with interesting ideas too.

All my best,

Ziv (playing paraphonically on youtube as “Loopop”...)

Hey thanks for the response man! I really appreciate all the info you provide. Cheers!

Thanks! Hi, I use MOscilloscope and MAnalyzer by a company called Melda - they’re free with some limitations in the MFreeFXBundle. Occasionaly I’ll use scopes by VCV. The KS37 visuals was Synthesia

Love this video man! Sorry if you get this question a lot but what spectrum analyzer and oscilloscope are you using on this? Also, you had a really nice software on your Keystep 37 tutorial that showed what keys are pressed and until release.
