Octatrack year 8 review + January book update coming soon

Hi!

Ease of use vs. features - I can only assume that whenever the discussion came up in product discussions when the Octatrack was put together and updated over the years, features won, obviously at the expense of a steeper learning curve.

This video has two parts - the first contains the top 10 features I think make Octatrack stand out after 8 years in light of the evolution of electronic instruments since then, and the second tries to present the most complex workflows so that you can see what those features "cost" in terms of complexity.

I'm off to NAMM next week to check out what's new (feel free to ping me during the show with things you'd like me to check out!), and plan to spend the rest of the week working on the January update to the book, with three new topics: an analysis of Rise and Fall functions like those found in Maths and the 0-Coast (the videos show the tricks but don't explain why they work), a section dedicated to custom functions/LFOs (that's what creates the rhythmic synth pattern in the intro to this video) with various software and hardware options to implement them, and a new section with feedback tricks.

As usual, but never taken for granted, thanks for your continued support - it truly is what makes this possible.

Have a great week!

Ziv (...and did you see Loopop Jr. looping in this week's video...?)

Educational. Not a good fit for me, but now I understand it much better.
