Here it is, attached to this post - thanks to you - the December 2018 update to my ever growing book of Electronic Music Ideas, Tips and Tricks.
My goal has been and will remain quality and brevity over quantity, but that said, this fifth revision now has 85 pages compared to the 48 we got started with...
What's new?
- I've added a section consolidating all the tricks I’ve used to make monosynths paraphonic. The various tricks have been documented before, but now have been given their own dedicated section.
- I've added a section describing the steps needed to play bi-timbral presets on mono-timbral synths. I'm really proud of this little hack and hope you've had a chance to try it, and if your synth has a few basic mod parameters, it can profoundly impact any preset you make!
- I've added a few more LFO ideas in the LFO tips and tricks section - including using an LFO and near-resonant filter to arpeggiate through harmonics, using a sawtooth LFO to create rhythmic modulations and more.
