Hello!
I’m especially excited about this little trick. While this video demos this “hack” on Peak, it can potentially work on other synths too.
Ever since I got Peak one thought kept bugging me – that it wasn’t bi-timbral. When comparing its “pros and cons” to Rev2 or Prologue, they have the bi-timbral edge (Peak has its advantages too of course...).
This video is the result of the exploration of different ways to make this work, and the nice thing about this “hack” is that it’s not too difficult to make happen, it works really well and can potentially work on other synths too.
I’m attaching to this post 4 more Patreon exclusive presets for Peak, three bi-timbral “init-style” presets designed to be starting points for your presets, and then one more showcasing more complex bi-timbral modulations:
#1: Simple Bitimbral – this preset only occupies two mod matrix slots – Mod Slot 1 puts oscillator 1 below C3, and Mod Slot 2 puts oscillator 2 above it.
#2: 2 Env Bitrimbral – same “init-style” preset as the first, only this also allocates the two mod envelopes to each of the oscillators
#3: 2 Env Bi O2 –4 - (what a name!) this is also an “init-style” preset, same as preset #2, but this also uses the LFO transpose trick mentioned in my video, transposing oscillator 2 four octaves down so you want play lower notes on it.
#4: Bi Timbre Intro: A complex preset based on #3, this is the preset used in the intro and outro sequences in the video.
Enjoy!
