Hi!
I was very much looking forward to exploring Arturia's KeyStep Pro because of my fondness for their KeyStep: I've used it in multiple videos because it's small (doesn't take up much space in the frame...) and yet powerful - it's not just a MIDI controller, but also an arpeggiator and sequencer, and the CV outputs come in quite handy.
It does have some disadvantages though: only 2.5 octaves, no MIDI control knobs, and of course, only one simultaneous arp or sequencer.
And that's where KeyStep Pro comes in: it's not as small but yet still relatively compact. It packs quite a punch with four tracks, which can be either polyphonic sequencers, or arpeggiators (tracks 2-4) and a drum sequencer (track 1).
As usual, I go through all its features in detail, compare it to Novation's SL MK3 and the BeatStep Pro. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me below or in a PM.
I've also attached a download of the jam in the video for those interested.
All my best,
Ziv (appropriately for zombie apocalypse/pandemic times, looking for (set up) brains on youtube as "Loopop")
