Tasty distraction: GR-1 and granular synthesis explored

You probably have your fill of current events from other sources - here's my attempt at distraction...
Tasty Chips recently announced a beta version 2.2 of their firmware for GR-1 - their hardware granular synth, which is as good a time as any to take a deep-dive look at this interesting synth, and Granular Synthesis in general.
Aside from a full review as usual, I've also included 10 minutes of no talking sound samples at the end.
I'll expand on granular synthesis and a few hardware and software options in this month's book update.
Clearly recent events are on my mind as I'm sure they're on yours, but if I managed to pull you away for 40 minutes or so - success!
