Hi!
If you're on Instagram and are interested in synths, there's a good chance you've seen the funny and excellent page called AnimalsAndSynthesizers. If you haven't - do check it out here.
These are short soundtracks beautifully synced to videos of animals doing their thing.
Some of these videos are simply-done and entertaining synth pieces, but several are quite intricate works of sound design, timing and synthesis.
In this video, I sit down with Tomer - the person behind the account - and look at 14 ideas he uses to work his magic.
I've also taken a walkthrough of one of his brilliant SuperCollider scripts and am making it available as a Patreon only exclusive.
Even if you're not into SuperCollider, the principles behind this script can be implemented with other instruments (though not exactly of course....)
I've uploaded this bonus content to the channel as unlisted - here's a link to it: https://youtu.be/7Cw5oSbk0ak - Please don't share it with anyone - it's intended for Patrons only.
All my best,
Ziv (dissecting animal synth videos on youtube as "Loopop"...)
