ContinuuMini Review coming soon - what do you want to know?

Hi! Haken Audio just launched their KickStarter, and I'm happy to say I was included in the small pre-launch beta, and I happen to have one... I'm putting together a review to be released soon - so feel free to ask me anything!

Also, there seem to be quite a limited amount at the launch price - check it out here: http://bit.ly/ContinuuMini (this is *not* a sponsored or affiliate link)

ContinuuMini Review coming soon - what do you want to know?

Comments

I’ve watched your Contiuum video many times over the last few months and I’m excited.

The Seaboard Block is great for the price, but as you mention, due to the force you need to use it, I see it as an "intro" to expressive control - more expressive than a regular MIDI keyboard, but if you have the budget, the LinnStrument and even more so the Continuum are way better and easier to play - they require much less force and flow much more naturally, especially the Continuum which really is one of my favorite instruments. The Mini obviously has a more limited canvas than its bigger brother but gives a very good taste of the Continuum's magic, and Mini's portability, I believe, will make it a unique part of many big and small setups.

They’re going fast! I took the plunge. I’ve been having quite a bit of fun with this Roli Seaboard Block you (indirectly) convinced me to try, but I’m also not warming to the rippled playing surface and I find it requires more finger force than seems ideal to me. I would definitely like to hear your perspective on how the Mini compares to the full-size Continuum *in practice*, tips for leveraging the Matrix to wring more out of the monophonic interface on the Mini, tips for practicing/mastering the necessary technique. I thought I was going to be interested in using a Continuum to control my Eurorack modular, but I think I’m going to be more interested in the Continuumini as a standalone instrument.
