Murder & Mayhem Part Three: DeathRay

Yes, we know it's been a while... Life got in the way there for a bit, but finally, here it is: the next installment of the Murder & Mayhem series: DeathRay

This is the third of our multiple-part mod created as a collaboration between myself and my best friend ShinoNox under the Project: Chaos Modding joint name (check out his other mods, he has some really cool stuff!). Our eventual goal is to create a pretty cohesive serial killing mod that covers many potential ways of putting other Sims out of your misery.

Part three brings more murder to your game in the form of a DeathRay Gun.

Sometimes you just want a quick means to dispose of pesky Sims that are getting in the way of your everyday totally not homicidal activities. And what better way for the lazy serial killer who just wants some peace and quiet than with the power of Science Fiction. Nosy neighbors? That police detective that keeps peeking in your windows? Your ex’s mother? No problem!

More coming soon in the future, and further additions will have an early access period of 2 weeks for our patrons.

What this mod does:

• Sims can now buy the DeathRay trait via the reward store for 2,000 points.
• This trait will spawn a DeathRay Gun object in their inventory, which can be used to kill Sims in various ways, such as:
  • Electrocution, Exhaustion, Fire, Hunger, Meteorite and Old Age (BaseGame)
  • Freezing, Lightning Strike and Overheating (optional file, require Seasons)
  • Flies (optional file, requires Eco Living)
  • Rodent Fever (optional file, requires My First Pet Stuff)
• Be warned: Sims can only die on lots. If you try to kill Sims outside of a lot's boundaries, they will not die. If you are using MCCC, you can set the “Sims Die On Lot” setting (MCCC-Settings > Gameplay Settings > Sims Die On Lot) to “disabled” to ignore these restrictions.

Mod Requirements & Conflicts:

This mod is BaseGame compatible, but some of the deaths require specific packs and come as optional packages. Do NOT install optional files without owning the required pack! People who don't read make us feel murdery, so please don't be that person.

Installation:

• Just drop these files into your Murder & Mayhem folder together with the Angel of Death and Arsonist mods, but make sure that it’s no more than one subfolder deep since this contains a script file.
