2019-08-30 12:02:08 +0000 UTCFriend of mine lived and worked in Beijing for quite a while, including at the same time as Jon Kaiman, knew him as well as one of his victims, who came forward after the Reason article. Apparently there was a whole back and forth between this woman and Bret Stephens on Twitter. I don't have links, sorry. Anyway the upshot of what he told me is that the guy is very much guilty, and it was kind of an open secret among the Beijing expat community at the time. I wouldn't have even posted about it except that he just told me about this yesterday
