2018-07-16 05:45:44 +0000 UTCThe part about Moira Donegan, women who don't have sex with men, and sexual coercion brings to mind a queer female friend of mine who's trying to figure out what the fuck to do about sexual coercion, manipulation, and borderline stalking from her (also female, also queer) boss. Bonus points for it being in the art world. Same goes for that thing a couple years back about Theda Orlando and her thesis advisor. It's like we'll do anything at all to avoid talking about power and opportunity. Not to mention the sort of (wo-)man-bites-dog salaciousness that's going to dominate the story's reception, should one actually go public about sexual harassment or coercion when it's a case that's same-sex AND has a female aggressor.
