Hello everyone, Xer here!
1. REGARDING GAME PROGRESS
Recently, I have got report about game performance, crash, bugs, hard-to-follow guide, etc. I read and understand all of your frustation here, even though the game has already optimized, some low performances in few devices still occur.
Therefore, i made some in recent progress changes, i did a further optimization again.
Firstly i've simplified the collision shapes, reducing their edges, and such. Then i deleted a no longer used instances like opened chests, barrels.
Secondly, i take a look of the battle scene, i think this one of the most chalenging part, since it was not built in scalable game, i decided to recode all the battle scene, this includes the skills, abilities, and battlers into flag based orientation.
This approach hopefully will greatly improve the battle scene performance, with very simplified and scalable code, and reduce the possibility of crashing when instantiating into a new battle scene.
Then i also aim to redraw all skills into frames, this also has better performance than using particles effects. Since in some device, the explosion effect in BigBlueCroc main menu actually causing crash for some player.
As for dialogues, there are some bugs can be encountered from using autoplay or the back button, there is a bug if you proceed with autoplay, some variables are not changed properly so it can cause crash, i will try to fix the bug carefully that appeared when activating autoplay, it will be automatically stopped once the last line of the dialogue is showed.
As for about the global chat, it seems like no people uses it, i will take consider of removing it for now for optimization, i will make a special longue room for chatting and trading items in a very future update.
Lastly, about the new scene for incoming update, exclusively adding commissioned character "Dez", he will play with Rave with a scene named "Front Holes Fun"



Since im taking on vacation on the first couple weeks in this november, the update is likely drop around 20ish november, sorry for the wait.

2. A NEW INCOMING GAME PROJECT
Yes, you are not wrong, I am also currently developing a new game. This new game has tentative names of "Island of Monsters" or "Monster Village" or "Kaiju Village". It will be a 2.5D farming game-like the famous stardew valley. The main protagonist will be a wolf anthro (athletic and proportion body), while the monster are massive sized. As for the plot, it will be spilled over time.
Please take a note this game will probably wont have its android version, or if even the demand is high to release android version, i will use my phone as standard of how optimized is the game. But i will still make sure the game is scalable and light for any device.

All the funds received from Patreon since november will be used for the new game development. Currently, the game itself is in very early development.
Here is the expected schedule for the new upcoming game
October: Brainstorming Ideas
November: Creating the whole assets including the island in 3D world
December: Creating basic game farming crops etc, Music and Writing Production.
January 2026: Prototype release version with atleast one scene.
February - June 2026: A Expansion of the prototype version including adding the story, interaction, etc.
June/July 2026: First official release.

1. 关于游戏进度
最近,我收到了一些关于游戏性能、崩溃、Bug以及指引难以遵循等问题的报告。我阅读并完全理解大家的沮丧。尽管游戏已经过优化,但在部分设备上仍然会出现性能低下的情况。
因此,我在近期进行了一些改进,再次进行了更深层次的优化。
首先,我简化了碰撞形状,减少了它们的边数等。同时,我还删除了不再使用的实例,比如已打开的宝箱和木桶。
其次,我仔细检查了战斗场景。我认为这是最具挑战性的部分之一,因为它最初并非为可扩展性而构建。我决定重写所有战斗场景的代码,包括技能、能力和战斗者,将其改为基于标志的导向结构。这种方法有望通过极其简化和可扩展的代码,大幅提升战斗场景的性能,并减少进入新战斗场景时发生崩溃的可能性。
同时,我还计划将所有技能效果重绘为帧动画。这比使用粒子效果拥有更好的性能。因为在某些设备上,主菜单中BigBlueCroc的爆炸效果确实导致了一些玩家游戏崩溃。
关于对话系统,在使用自动播放或返回按钮时可能会遇到一些Bug。如果你使用自动播放,某些变量可能无法正确更改,从而导致崩溃。我会仔细修复启用自动播放时出现的这个Bug,它将在显示最后一行对话后自动停止。
关于全局聊天,似乎没什么人使用。出于优化考虑,我打算暂时移除它。在未来的更新中,我会专门制作一个用于聊天和交易物品的休息室场景。
最后,关于下次更新的新场景,我们将独家新增委托角色“Dez”,他将与Rave在一个名为“Front Holes Fun”的场景中互动。

2. 一个全新的游戏项目
是的,你没看错,我目前也在开发一款新游戏。
这款新游戏的暂定名称为《怪物岛》、《怪物村庄》或《Kaiju村庄》。它将是一款类似著名的《星露谷物语》的2.5D农场模拟游戏。主角将是一匹狼兽人(拥有匀称的运动员体型),而其中的怪物则是巨型尺寸。关于剧情,将会随着时间的推移逐步展开。
请注意,这款游戏可能不会推出安卓版本。即使对安卓版的需求很高,我也会以我自己的手机作为游戏优化程度的标准。但我仍然会确保游戏尽可能轻量,并能在各种设备上流畅运行。

从11月起通过Patreon收到的所有资助,将全部用于这款新游戏的开发。目前,游戏本身尚处于非常早期的开发阶段
