Closing the Patreon

I'm sure this isn't something you guys wanted to hear, but it's something that needs to be addressed.

For the passed few months now, I've wanted to step back from the community and to end the BTC lifestyle completely. I've had so little energy and drive, and I've almost completely lost interest in producing content, writing stories, and just being in this community. Put simply, I don't want to be BTC anymore, and I want to stop. With all that's happening in the world, and in my own personal life, I just can't do this stuff anymore. If you want to know, I'm back at University, focusing my efforts on acting. (Theatre, specifically). I've always been more passionate about acting, and not in writing or creating characters and telling stories, and especially not in making video games.

On that topic, it genuinely hurts me to say this, but the next VN will not be coming out. To be fully honest with you guys, it's nowhere near done yet, as it still needs more coding work, art, voice acting, music, etc. Every time I've tried to work on it, I've been riddled with self doubt surrounding my writing and story-telling, along with the subject matter I'm spending so much of my time working on. Plus, I'm in no way a professional coder or anything of the sort. I only started producing games because my friends use the same engine, and they would teach me the basics of how to make characters move around and make choices and stuff. For the most part, I find it to be highly confusing.

With that said, I'm still going to upload all of the Bloom art that was made for it, so, that's a plus, I suppose. Along with that, due to this, and last month's payments, we still have a lot of Bloom commissions to make and release, most of which will be 2 page comics.

So, here's the plan going forward: I'm going to keep this Patreon going up until the end of the month. That way, the content I will release can at least be just for Patrons for the time being, before eventually heading to DA when the Patreon closes. Throughout the month, I'm going to start uploading old exclusive pieces to the DA, while the comics and new stuff stays here.

All in all, I've been doing this stuff for a solid year+ now, and it's honestly been so much fun and I wouldn't have changed anything. All the great people I met, all the amazing fans that liked and supported my work, and of course, all the great wedgies! But, the time has come to bring it all to a close. Right now, I want to clear my head, get out of the community and focus on theatre (my singing voice still needs a lot of work lol).

And who knows? Maybe I'll come back one day and continue writing stories and commissioning pieces every now and then, but, for now, I just can't.
