I mean he knew he had Shimizu in his heart, even if it was one sided, and he didn't want to go for someone else just because that was possible. It wouldn't have been fair to the other person. I really appreciate how his character was written. Also, I don't know if this is considered a spoiler or not since it's not included in the anime and it's only for the manga readers to find out, but his persistence with Shimizu pays of in the end. Thank you Furudate for giving him his flowers :D

2025-09-26 13:39:13 +0000 UTCAgreed, it's so rare to find very perceptive reaction channels, and they are honestly the first I've seen (and I've seen 10+ different reactions to Haikyuu) that actually pick up on Kanoka's line and it's meaning. It definitely took me a watch or two to get it. Also love that they remember almost everyone in the show, even names, which is insane. These guys definitely have some of the best discussions and understanding of any reaction channels out there. Imo only second to Blind Wave who always catch almost everything, understand references and plot lines and have some of the most banger discussions and accurate theories when they react.

2025-09-24 23:40:53 +0000 UTCI've said it before, but I'll say it again. No other reactors have EVER caught onto pretty much everything that Haikyuu is trying to show the audience. I've never seen anyone understand what Kanoka meant at the end by her heart being broken was because Tanaka wont ever give up on Shimizu, until you guys watched it. You also remember characters people forget about like the All Japan coach or how Hinata was copying that blocker from Seijo, or even that scene where Tsuki set it to Asahi, most people get confused because they forget that his last name is Azumane and they're confused why Tanaka stopped and didnt get the ball when it was clearly because Tsuki set it to and said Asahi's name, but you guys understood it.
