2025-08-11 12:33:55 +0000 UTCThe main thing to know is that there are no traces of Kim existing before the end of the Hob comic when Kim was in the hospital. Not only are there no records of her mother, Serena Ross, but her own father didn't know about a mother or her existence before 7 years ago and when asked to draw a picture of her mother she drew the rising/setting sun symbol (or an equation). Kim has noted that she appears to have some strange memories associated with her mother that suggests Kim suffered some kind of trauma she's suppressed. But I'm paying a lot of attention to the images of Morningstar and young kim with the bandaged fingers near the old, small sword and broken china in the old house. Those images and scenes just keep repeating over and over, bringing us back to Azrael and Kim's mother Serena. Definitely feels like its all linked to the trauma Kim can't remember even after extinguishing the forging fire and opening the box to old feelings and memories.
