STALKER 2 video style?

So I was wondering, now that I have already edited a portion of the video, I'm still having issues with the pacing in some parts (which is just normal for any video I do and later I end up filling these parts with some story elements), but what kind of video would you actually prefer?

First option is shorter video (3-4 minutes long), kinda like what I've done for Metro Exodus or DOOM Eternal. That would mean just basically older structure - mainly bugs/funny moments and I would not try to touch the story too much.

Second option is what I've been doing lately and that is longer video (usually 6-8 minutes) and it would have me go thorough the story while also including funny moments/bugs and memeing the story a bit.

I'm obviously asking, because I could make the shorter video way more quickly, but it would be kinda chaotic like my older videos where stuff just happens.

Also... Merry Christmas stalkers

Niko what do you use to export models, do you recomend any tutorials? I found some models but don't know where to start

Tomek Dobro

yeah! truly a masterpiece! I loved the fallout videos, I'd be so interested to watch a behind the scenes.

I think it might take a few months before they make a worthy A-life, and my physical ultimate edition got cancelled anyway, so I'll just wait it out for now, and see in february/march where it's at

By "behind the scenes", I was thinking about stuff like older videos, like Crazy Noisy Pripyat Pripyat Town where it's not just editing. I have no idea how you did animate all this, it must have took a lot of time, but it's glorious

Borahkreth

i find that fascinating. I'd like to see you doing it!

I have even considered streaming how I edit my videos, but I'm not that consistent with it. Some days I might edit even a whole minute of a video while other days I might just stare at a wall with no creativity whatsoever. It's not like I know any theory about editing or art, so I just do what I come up with and then see if it works. That's why it's hard to do BTS for me, since all of my "explanations" would be "I just felt like this is good in here". Also I don't even do scripts for my videos, I just watch tons of memes/shitposts and then I play the game or go through the recordings and see if any of the memes I watched might fit the scenes.

From what I've seen, the (fixed)A-life isn't what it was in the original trilogy, but i might be wrong, because I already played the whole game with the bugged version (spawned bandits 10 meters from me in random spots) and the Zone felt really empty.

Nikolai

I think you'll finish the whole game twice before I'll finish the video :D Also I don't think i will touch the endings or any big spoilers, but there might be scenes from later parts of the game, although mainly it's just for the flow of the video.

Nikolai

I would go for the first option, mainly because I haven’t finish S2 and I really want to play it, I’ve tried hard not to see spoilers. If the second option doesn’t show any important spoilers then you should go for it. Happy Christmas and good hunting Stalkers!

I haven't played S2 so far, and I won't have for a few months until it gets patched out (A-life in particular, from what I've heard). So I'm in no rush, but in any case, I'd still prefer a longer video. I also agree with the comment asking about a behind the scene. That would be interesting ! But I know everything takes time, so feel free to do whatever fits you :) And also, merry christmas !

Borahkreth

Both are good! Merry Christmas Nikolai. Question: have you ever considered a "behind the scenes" video where you explain how you make your videos?
