Quick Update (And a sneak peak)

So, a couple of weeks on from Chapters 13 & 14 of QT:UK and I couldn't be more pleased by how people have responded to it. It was really worth taking the time to get right and I know that everyone's probably desperate to see what happens next...

But I told myself from the point where I started Chapter 11 that I wasn't going to touch any other projects until things with Ethan and Aoife were done, and that was a lot of work and effort pressing on my brain demanding to get out for several months. I've needed a bit of a breather so I can stay excited for their story in future and the next little story arc I have planned, and it's been 6 months since my last public upload for Picture Perfect which is way longer than I ever intended to leave Riley.

I've restructured some of what I had there a little, and after taking a little break from putting words on a page, Riley's voice was apparently demanding to get out and have added around 4.5k words to her next chapter in the space of a few days. I should hopefully have a preview of things for you all by the end of the weekend. Once her next Chapter(s) are ready to go, it'll be straight back to QT:UK - and CorruptingPower has asked me to seed a few things before he gets to including them in the main story, so I'm on a clock for making sure the next chapter there doesn't take too long.

And in the meantime, I've been toying with another story idea. I like the idea of challenging myself to be a little more concise with how I tell stories as I learn how to do this whole writing thing, and also want a series where after the introduction I can do slightly more self contained chapters as and when I feel like working on it. That, and I really want to turn my hand to fantasy...

So I'm teasing you with Khyra, the main character of The Jasmine Crown, something I've been toying around with over the last couple of weeks. I had an artist friend of mine @WoodSpiritArt come up with a little character sheet for me. It might be a little while yet before I get to introduce you to her properly, but she's going to be a lot of fun when I do. Hopefully she piques your interests enough to forgive me for taking a little time to work on something other than QT:UK :)
