Today's the big day: I'll have the honor to present at the Sardinia film festival placed in Alghero, the original uncut version of the 1941 Warner cartoon "Farm Frolics", from a nitrate print discovered years ago by David Gerstein at the Library of Congress and now scanned in 4K thanks to determination of my friend Jerico Dvorak!
The original uncut version, contains a scene with a grasshoper, removed from the reissue due to references to Hays Code. Today, after 81 years, this original version will be presented for the first time ever to a live audience, after 81 years from its original release: a world exclusive!
