It was fun to see this movie in kind of a machete order. I've seen people watch Star Wars going 4,5,1,2,3,6 before and it's interesting to see their reactions to it. (I have too many reasons to go into why I don't like this order, but for YouTube it's a fun experiment). Because you are where you are in the series, you were hyper aware of the issue of Khan not being in the position to remember Chekhov. It's such good Star Trek that I personally always just let that slide. I first saw this in theaters and didn't even catch that detail. Spock's death hit hard! I always wondered how Scotty was able to hold it together to play the bagpipes, but then those things are so loud that he wouldn't have heard what Kirk had to say.
