Harrowing Heartstring 

Weapon (longbow or shortbow), rare (requires attunement by a creature with blood)

This string, known as the Harrowing Heartstring, is one of several artifacts recovered from the hidden sanctum of a cult devoted to the Archfiend of Love—Ishqara, the Thorned Temptress. Once part of a legendary seventeen-stringed harp that bore a terrible curse alongside ancient and potent magic, this string remained intact with the others, each retaining their enchantment even after the harp was discovered broken. Though the instrument was shattered and its strings stolen during transport, this one resurfaced during the 2nd Chaos Insurgency—repurposed as the barbed string of a cruel bow, its magic now drawing blood with every shot, imbuing each arrow with sorcery born of blood and torment.

This crudely crafted metal bow is strung with a barbed, silver cord that bites into the hand with every draw. The string vibrates in a strange rhythm when touched.

When you make a weapon attack with this magic weapon, the barbed string tears at your hand, dealing 1d4 piercing damage. This damage can't be reduced or avoided. The target takes additional necrotic damage equal to 1d4 for each point of damage you suffered from the string (for example, if you took 3 damage, the target takes an additional 3d4 necrotic damage).

Kiss of the Thorn. Once per turn, if you roll a 4 on the damage die from the string and the attack hits, the target must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by you until the end of your next turn.

Variant: The Heartstring

The true enchantment of the Harrowing Heartstring lies within its barbed string. As a variant, the string can be wrapped around the hilt, grip, or handle of another weapon, granting it the bow’s magical features. If the weapon is nonmagical, it becomes a magical weapon for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity. Alternatively, the string can be wrapped around a spellcasting focus. When used this way, the enchantment applies to spell attacks instead of weapon attacks. This process takes a short rest and requires attunement.

Unfortunately, because of the sudden addition to this month's schedule, I am unable to continue Kaijune. So, I decided to continue with the 7 Deadly Sins series. This one continues the theme of Lust, and is still related to Ishqara. But next month, I'm going to explore different sin~
