7화 - 저녁

오늘도 취직 자리를 찾아보고 헬스장에서 운동을 마친 후 나와 옆집에 사는 호랑이(그래거)가 서 있었다.
그는 나를 보며 뭔가 말하려는 듯 다가왔다.
"여기 계셨군요. 운동 다 하신 건가봐요?"
"아.네 그렇습니다."
갑자기 찾아온 그의 방문에 나는 당황했다. 그러나 그는 웃으며 말했다.
"어제 큰 아저씨가 집을 찾아와서 당황했죠? 미안해요. 그 녀석이 좀 길치라서요."
"아, 괜찮습니다."
나는 그가 말하는 것이 어제 보았던 커다란 늑대가 나타난 일을 말하는 것 같다는 것을 알았다.
그는 안심하며 허리에 손을 얹고 말했다.
"어제 일로 인해 미안한 마음이 들어서 같이 저녁을 먹으러 가자고 생각했는데요."
"저녁이요?"
"옆집 이웃이니까 서로 친해져야죠. 같이 식사를 하면 좋을 것 같아서 제안드린 거예요. 어때요? 같이 드시겠어요?"
"아, 괜찮습.."
꼬르르륵
하지만 그때, 갑자기 내 배가 울렸다. 얼굴이 화끈해졌다.
"배가 고프신가 보네요! 그럼 옆집 고깃집에서 먹읍시다!"
"... 그렇게 하죠."
그 결과, 나는 그 호랑이에게 끌려 고깃집으로 갔다.
I woke up the day after a visit from a large wolf. Today, after looking for job openings and finishing my workout at the gym, I saw the tiger (Grager) who lives next door standing outside.
He approached me as if he had something to say.
"Hey, you're here. Did you finish your workout?"
"Uh, yes I did."
I was taken aback by his sudden visit. However, he spoke with a smile.
"Yesterday, a big guy came to look for your house and you were surprised, right? I'm sorry. He's a bit directionally challenged."
"Oh, it's okay."
I knew he was talking about the incident where the large wolf appeared yesterday.
He put his hand on his waist to reassure me and said,
"I feel bad about what happened yesterday, so I thought we could go have dinner together."
"Dinner?"
"We're neighbors, so we should get along. I suggested we have dinner together. How about it? Would you like to join me?"
"No than.."
But then, suddenly, my stomach growled. My face turned red.
"It seems like you're hungry! Let's eat at the nearby barbecue place!"
"...Alright."
As a result, I was dragged by the tiger to the barbecue place.
