6화 - 새로운 늑대

몇 일이 지나고, 나는 옆집에 사는 호랑이수인이 익숙해지는 시기가 되었다.

오늘도 취업을 위해 면접을 보러 다니고 이곳저곳을 돌아다녔다.

그러던 중에 쉬는 시간이 필요해졌고, 집에서 특별히 치킨을 배달 시켰다.

운동을 하면서도 기름진 음식을 먹는 것이 너무 들떴다.

그때 초인종 소리가 들려왔다.

배달이 왔나 생각하며 문을 열어보니 커다란 새로운 수인이 나를 바라보고 있었다. 이번에는 늑대였다. 무언가 친근한 듯한 표정으로 말을 걸어왔다.

"그래거 내가 왔다. 음? 뭔가 덩치가 작아지지 않았나."

하지만 나는 최대한 당황한 티를 내지 않으며 대답했다.

"저, 집을 잘못 오신 것 같습니다."

그 늑대는 내 문에 적힌 호수와 작아 보이는 스마트폰을 보며 눈이 커지며 당황하는 모습을 보였다.

"아, 미안하군. 내가 이 작은 물건을 잘 다루지 못해서 말인데. 혹시 이 주소가 어딘지 아나?"

그는 스마트폰을 보여주며 어디인지 알려달라는 듯이 나를 지긋이 바라보았다.

나는 친절히 뒤쪽 문을 가리키며 답했다.

"저쪽 뒤쪽에 문이 있는데, 그 쪽 집입니다."

"아, 그렇군. 고맙네. 이 은혜 잊지 않겠네."

그 늑대는 뒤돌아가며 옆집 문을 두드렸다. 호랑이가 그를 맞이하며 매우 친한 사이인 것 같았다.

그런데, 옆집 호랑이수인의 이름이 그래거였나...

Episode 6 - New wolf

After a few days, I became accustomed to the tiger next door and his presence. Today, I went for interviews and traveled here and there for employment.

During a break, I ordered chicken delivery from home.

Even while exercising, I was craving greasy food.

Then I heard the doorbell. I thought it was the delivery and opened the door, but a large new furry was looking at me.

This time it was a wolf. He came up to me with a familiar expression.

"Yes, it is I who have come. Hm? Have you not become smaller in stature?"

But I tried not to show any surprise and replied,

"I think you might have the wrong house."

The wolf looked at my address on the door and the small smartphone in his hand and showed a surprised expression.

"Ah, my apologies. It's because I have trouble handling small objects. Do you happen to know where this address is?"

He showed me his smartphone and looked at me as if asking me where it was.

I kindly pointed to the back door and replied,

"There's a door over there, that's the house."

"Ah, I see. Thank you. I won't forget this favor."

The wolf turned around and knocked on the next-door neighbor's door.

The tiger greeted him, and they seemed to be very close friends.

But, was the name of the tiger next door, Grager?
