Fun News and Update Schedule

Hey guys, sorry about the slight scheduling issue during Christmas - I was hoping to keep the schedule going like usual but it really didn't happen. We're back to our regular schedule now. 

If you guys missed it, I just posted Chapter 84 as well as Chapter 1 of a small prequel series, "His Name Was Johan." This is a series I wrote sort of by accident - I wanted to flesh out some bits about Johan and Roger's backstory in my mind and it sort of naturally evolved to where it is now. I have the entire series written out, but I still have to edit it and sometimes for me that involves rewriting chapters if I change my mind on how certain events play out. 

It will be a short series and be focused on the war that led Valle and Johan to become admired by the public. You can expect it to go over Valder's backstory of his rebellion as well. 

It's not at all necessary to read this story to understand the main plot, don't worry. But if you want something else to read at the same time, feel free. This will not affect the Strongest Fencer's update schedule at all.

Update Schedule:

Strongest Fencer: Same as always. One chapter every 3 days.

His Name Was Johan: I'm still settling on this depending on how fast I can update it, but I'm thinking around once or twice a week. At least once a week. Next chapter should be out tomorrow, I meant to do it sooner but oh boy. Christmas hit like a truck. 

Special Patreon Only Bonus Chapter: I promised this a while back and I'm nearly done with it - a short chapter about what the world would be like if Carr became the evil dictator instead of Johan. It's a short chapter, but I'm really enjoying it and I hope to release it soon :) before the end of the year for sure!

His Name Was Johan Patreon Advance Chapters:

Right now, His Name Was Johan is being posted to patreon at the same pace as the general websites (reddit and space battles - royal road to come later). But once I feel secure in my backlog, you guys will get advance chapters. It's not going to cost anything - if you're already subscribed to my patreon, I feel like you should get advance chapters of anything I write. I'm expecting the backlog to be solid at around January 14th or so, but it might be slightly after that. So around that time you guys should get a bunch of advance chapters dumped on Patreon haha. 

His Name Was Johan Tone:

You can expect it to read more like a standard fantasy book than a litrpg series - which I know the main series doesn't exactly read like anyway, but this should be a bit on that side of things. My alpha reader described it as a "villain protagonist progression series" and I think that's pretty accurate. 

You can expect sword fights, but also fantasy politics and world building that I can't justify putting on the main series. Nothing vital for the plot, just fun stuff I thought of. 

In Summary

Strongest Fencer back on schedule, new prequel series being posted as well with a less frequent but still weekly update schedule, you guys will get advance chapters soon, nothing will change on your end, you won't be charged any more on Patreon or anything like that. 

I hope you guys like the new series, but if you don't, don't worry about it! Nothing you need to read to enjoy the main series. Just something I was fond of and wanted to write.
