Commentary #1: 45 Toilet Rolls
Added 2025-03-24 19:34:34 +0000 UTCWell, here goes! My first stumbling steps into the world of commentaries. Revisiting the first Infinite Review (which was a much longer time ago than I like to think about) was very odd, but fun. In future I might combine shorter videos so I can ramble longer – or have others join me. If anyone has any specific questions they’d like me to answer when it comes to the making of my videos (or the ~process~) please ask below and I’ll make a note of them for next time! And let me know if releasing a video, podcast and commentary all in one day is how you'd like me to continue, or if it's a bit much and spacing them out a little would suit better.

This is a great idea. Your picture reminds me of the swole doge meme. Also, I think that lady at 1:28 is an actress that I have seen somewhere and it drives me crazy. Also, how smug is that kid? Good lord.

2025-03-25 19:00:28 +0000 UTCYou kind of hinted towards what i love most about The Infinite Review in this commentary, which is that regardless of the subject matter of the video you never know exactly what you're going to get out of it. To me at least that makes the videos endlessly rewatchable, because even if I've seen a particular video before there'll always be lots of little gags and jokes that I missed the first time. Plus I feel like the Infinite Review fanbase is such a dedicated niche of weirdos (affectionate) that we'll *always* end up watching whatever you decide to put out because, again, you never know which direction any given video will end up going in!

2025-03-25 18:53:01 +0000 UTCI actually wound up watching some Infinite Review with my mom, I think this was the second video I showed her, and she nearly died laughing at it. You were really knocking it out of the park from the start.

2025-03-25 17:25:36 +0000 UTCThank you for this commentary! A really cool peek behind the curtains of your creative process. I don't know if it's planned already, but have you considered doing the commentaries together with some of the people that appear in the videos? Also I like having it all in a day. It's a bunch of great content that I can watch/listen to in whatever order fits me best.

2025-03-25 04:35:20 +0000 UTCLove it, can't have enough of it. I think one of the E3 videos was the first I saw from you, and then I went back to what seemed like the beginning and watched this video. I really enjoyed the nonsense of it. It sounds like in retrospect you feel silly looking at it, but it's pure gold to me. Tell us all the things, why you picked the topic, how it went, how it was received, what was going on in your life at the time. Can't wait for you to get to the Eat the Peach video.

2025-03-24 22:45:13 +0000 UTCAll in a day works, sometimes what we need an embarrassment of riches (or Richies, if that's all you've got available).

2025-03-24 21:25:20 +0000 UTCThis was good! Perhaps have some videos on a loop in the future if you want to talk about it for longer? A question: do some situations, like the Beast from the East or Bridge Crew, turn into a video after the fact?

2025-03-24 20:32:35 +0000 UTCAlso, I have no problem with the release schedule of "all in a day". I watch the videos as soon as I can to help with ~engagement~ and then the rest at my leisure since I assume this has no bearing on anything.

2025-03-24 19:53:56 +0000 UTCQuestion: When it comes to the collaborative aspect of your videos, how often does it happen that a video strays from what you originally thought it might be? Also, how do you decide which people you involve in a video? Is this a part of your creative process or is some of it just down to circumstance of who is available to work with you on it?
