In early-AEW they were really trying to push him as a main event guy, and then the pandemic happened which made him stuck in the UK for the rest of the year, followed by horrific injury luck for the next 5 years. I honestly think there was good shot during that time period that he could've won the World title...at least he was the 1st International champ tho

2025-10-07 22:49:01 +0000 UTCHonesty, OC is one of AEW’s most iconic characters in my opinion anyway. When I think of AEW’s primary cast of interesting characters, it’s Hangman, MJF, Christian Cage, later Toni Storm. OC is right there with them, in his importance to AEW as a presence, he has been there since some of the early days and his development and presence has been one of those constants, to the point where, for me, it’s always feels weird when he’s not there. Similar to Kenny, the Bucks and Mox, they are just sorta the tenpole people that just make me feel at home in AEW and when they are gone i genuinely feel their absence.
