I love this match and PPV. Was there live and it was electric. One of my favorite live experiences ever. :)

2025-09-24 02:17:30 +0000 UTCTrue, I see the differences. Roman's comes off like he's working on his next move, or talking trash like you said.

2025-09-18 18:43:35 +0000 UTCI like the ref pleading with them to not do something. They can't disqualify them but they can still say come on don't do this. It adds to the drama for me.

2025-09-16 23:52:57 +0000 UTCI think Roman is similar, but not exactly the same. I think there are two distinct differences, first off, regarding the portions of the match that aren’t quite so slow for each, I think Roman is generally a better athlete, and therefore he is more explosive, thus making the things that he does When he does kick it into the next gear more exciting. The second difference is that Roman doesn’t just sell whenever he is a heel, I mean he obviously does sell, but when he slows things down, it isn’t that he and his opponent are both selling, it’s mostly just his opponent and Roman is talking trash, and doing so in quite an entertaining way I might add, so it also makes it seem like more is happening, whereas HHH and his opponent are just usually on the ground. I do think HHH is a good wrestler, and some people did make him work a bit faster, Stone Cold, HBK, with the exception ironically enough of their Hell In A Cell and last man standing match from 2004. I’m not saying HHH is the most exciting guy in the world, but I think he is good, and his matches as a face aren’t as slow generally speaking.

2025-09-14 19:02:30 +0000 UTCCouple things I wanted to add instead of editing my other comment: the song originally used in the promo was Happy? by Mudvayne. JR mentions the people Triple H been in the cell with, this match marked the third year in a row H had a Cell match in June. The HBK one was in 04, the Nash one was in 03 and H had the match with Jericho in the cell in May 02. Silly Josh didn’t think either of them would bleed lol. I will say the criticism of H matches being slow is a valid one, but I rather that then H or his opponent getting right back up without selling what they’re doing to each other or doing multiple moves and then selling. I hate those sort of sequences (Young Bucks/Ospreay and Strickland for example). The thumbs up, thumbs down was what H did to Orton when Evolution turned on him and later what Batista did when he chose to stay on Raw and challenge H at Mania 21 instead of go to SmackDown and challenge JBL. I love the finish, where H gets the hammer but doesn’t get the chance to hit Batista. Also Batista kicking out of the Pedigree was a big deal because people rarely kicked out of it. lol Josh’s random rant about Vegas 😂They meant Hs home was the cell not Vegas. He’s from New Hampshire. After this match, H would be gone for a bit, he’d come back in October and turn on Flair and they’d have a feud with a great Last Nan Standing match at Survivor Series.
