Hi everyone!
It's been a little quiet here, so I thought I'd do a patron only post to shake things up.
As far as 0.4.0 goes, I'm hard at work, but development and writing has been a tad slow due to some mental health issues I've been struggling with. I'm okay, for the most part, but my ability to get things done in my life in general has been lacking. I'm on a new antidepressant that will hopefully help with that, and I'm planning to ramp up development regardless and push through it.
You've probably already seen it, but I released a couple bug fix patches that took some of my time as well.
So, what HAS been done so far with 0.4.0? The week is fully outlined, about 6k words have been written into actual scenes, lots of bugs have been fixed, and lots of typos as well. Additionally, the sprites have been generated and edited for a new character appearing in 0.4.0. Who could this Dad looking character be?

I think this is also a good chance to share that Thread was originally a Godot project (Well, technically it was Unity THEN Godot, but the Unity project was scrapped very quickly.) I'll be sharing the source code for the old Godot version on my GitHub for anyone that wants to take a look at it.
The Godot version had overworld grid movement, JRPG combat and a menu system that I built from the ground while referencing other example projects. All of it was extremely basic. I left Godot behind in favor of RPG Maker so that I could focus less on developing an RPG engine and more on writing a story and building a game. In fact, the tilesets I use in current Thread are the ones I originally purchased for the Godot version, as Godot does not come with standard assets like RPG Maker does. Here are some screenshots:

Anyway, thanks for reading! I'll have more progress updates here, along with the ones I post almost every other day in the discord, regarding 0.4.0 as development progresses. I hope you have a great day!
