We lost Zhaan in episode 4 of Season 3 so it seemed credulous that the show could dispatch Scorpius in episode 3 of Season 4. I was absolutely madly in love with the character at this point so trading Harvey for him seemed fair. After all, we got Harvey so that Wayne could continue to glam it up between Scorpius' appearances. When Sikozu flashes her mischievous smile and does a look back at Scorpius I never felt so seen by the show. Finally there's a character on the show that looks at Scorpius the way I did. Claudia is indeed wearing a wig if I recall. I don't know why, but I think this was the season where they tried to ratchet up the sex appeal of the characters to 11 or 12. This was also the season where I think I went from "Claudia's objectively very attractive but she's not for me," to "Oh, she's God's most beautiful angel." I really love that Aeryn gets a turn in Scorpy's makeup. It really highlights how crazily intertwined John's two greatest obsessions are. Aeryn is the ying to Scorpius' yang.

She hasn't just never been in a relationship before, she's never even seen a relationship modelled. She hasn't just never planned to be a parent, she's literally never seen parenthood modelled. She's bad at communication. When would she learn it? Everything she knows about love and relationships and family she's learned since being on Moya, from John and D'Argo and Chiana. And I love them but they're none of them great at this stuff! At least not all of it. John tries. I do think things would be different if Zhaan had lived, an actual adult who would be rooting for them and also understands Aeryn's limitations. But instead, we get a huge mess.
